The Insula orchestra and the Accentus choir, under Laurence Equilbey’s baton, are performing Mozart’s C-minor Mass in the Grand Chapel of the Saint-Sulpice seminary in Issy-les-Moulineaux, attended by Fr. Bernard Pitaud, provincial superior of the Society of the Priests of Saint-Sulpice, by Deputy-Mayor André Santini and by Mr. Patrick Devedjian, chairman of the Hauts-de-Seine General Council.
The recording of this exceptional musical moment is produced for Arte and will be broadcasted on the French-German network on December 25, 2012 at 6:30pm (French time).

International symposium on forming priests for today

Montreal, Canada, 8 July, 2012 – To celebrate the golden jubilee of the Second Vatican Council, the Society of the Priests of Saint-Sulpice is organising a gathering of its worldwide members on forming priests for today. It is held in Montreal (Canada) at the Grand Séminaire from July 8 to 18, 2012.
The three provinces are each sending a delegation of eight Sulpicians, priests formators of priests. In total, there will be over thirty participants sharing on the theme “Forming Priests for Today: Priesthood in the 21st Century in Light of the Traditions of Vatican II and Saint-Sulpice”.

Three concerts in the Grand Chapel!

Before settling in their new premises, the Niedermeyer musical academy is giving three concerts in the Grand Chapel of the Saint-Sulpice Seminary (Issy-les-Moulineaux, France). It’s their way of thanking the Society for having lent them many teaching rooms.
“We are happy to be able to offer such a remarkable musical programme in such an exceptional place”, declared Issy-les-Moulineaux Mayor & Representative André Santini.
The Society of the Priests of Saint-Sulpice means to engage in restauring inside the Grand Chapel to unveil its initial splendour, bring it back to being a daily place of cult and prayer, and to host from time to time concerts opened to the public.

The Society to host an ICP graduate school in Issy

The Society of Saint-Sulpice to host in Issy-les-Moulineaux a communication and information technology graduate school of the Institut Catholique de Paris network

Paris, March 19, 2012 – Today, the Society of the Priests of Saint-Sulpice and the Institut Catholique de Paris (ICP) have signed a 48-year agreement by which the Society is to host ISEP, one of ICP’s eleven professional graduate schools, as soon as September 2013 in its Our Lady of Loretto building in Issy-les-Moulineaux, France.
Around 200 potential engineers training in information technology and communications will be studying on the premises of Notre-Dame de Lorette. Four floors totalling 3,800 sqm will be converted into teaching and meeting halls, amphitheatres and research laboratories during the next fourteen months. The… read more
